Planning: Ideology in our Video

-The song we have chosen to make a music video to is, "Kickstarts" by example. This song follows typical ideologies putting it into the grime and dance genre. It does this by having a mixture of soft rap and singing in it. The video consists of a different range of people this includes dancers and actors, it also portrays love. It does this by using numerous love references in the lyrics for example- " Look into your eyes imagine life with out ya and the love kick starts again"

-The video to "kickstarts" follows some dominant ideologies these include; The outfits- The boy (Example) wearing baggy pants/ chinos, with dunks, and t-shirts all follow the typical ideology for grime whereas the girl (the main one) wearing skimpy jumper showing a lot of skin this creates the male gaze. However the typical location for a grime/ dance is studio based in this video the location is set in a house and various rooms in the house also in the garden.

Our music video doesn't fit in to the typical genre of grime. Typical grime genre would include semi naked women flaunting themselves around men, causing a male gaze. In our music video we are going to be enhancing the male dominance of love, we will do this by focusing more on the male artist with the woman more out of focus.
